After years of education, planning and preparation, two new local entrepreneurs are looking to start their journey as new business owners with a bang, holding a Grand Opening open house celebration for both businesses, starting at 11:30am, Saturday, June 20th.

First is Dochasann Counseling’s Katie Hobbs, with over 20 years of psychology and social work brings a compassionate, practical approach working with adults experiencing trauma, providing support for first responders, veterans and law enforcement professionals.

Katie, an Air Force veteran born and raised in Crescent City, California, earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and Master of Social Work and specializes in improving emotional well-being, quality mental health resilience, and achieving meaningful personal growth.
Dochasann Counseling is currently accepting new clients, working with a variety of insurance plans to make mental health care both affordable as well as accessible.
The second part of this Grand Opening open house celebration is Donnie Hobbs and his new classic inspired Barber Shop, Chops, providing a contemporary modernistic feel.

“Becoming a barber has been a lifelong dream of mine. Growing up, I always loved going to barbershops, enjoying the atmosphere and conversations, and the feeling of walking out looking sharp.” Donnie told the Wild Coast Compass.

After finishing his education, Hobbs secured a local Barbershop location and transformed the location into a space that feels both classic and modern creating an environment that makes his clients feel comfortable, confident, and taken care of specializing in barber cuts, classic shaves, beard design and scalp care in relaxed environment, at an affordable price.
The celebration starts at 11:30am, Saturday, June 20th, with the popular local food truck, Oink and Oven, featuring Smoked and grilled BBQ, Burgers and Philly Cheese Steaks, Neapolitan style Pizzas, desserts and more to satisfy your culinary appetite.
