Weather Pattern Forecast to Continue Across the area Through Mid-Week

A trough pushing down from the Gulf of Alaska is pushing weak weather systems into the northwest and will continue to rotate unstable air into the region for much of the remaining work week.

The weather pattern began late this past holiday weekend, circulating wet weather, some extreme with gusty winds and large hail in the valley, and dampening July 4th celebrations across the region. This same weather pattern is forecast to continue across the area through mid-week along coastal areas, however subsiding in the interior valley.

Temperatures are expected to remain mild in the upper 70’s and low 80’s inland. Cooler temperatures and a continued chance for precipitation will continue along the coast with morning fog in the usual places, and afternoon highs in the mid 60’s.
