Winter Just Will Not Go Away

A weak storm system will pass by on Wednesday, with rain showers reaching the north coast beginning early Tuesday night. Rainfall amounts between a quarter and a third of an inch will impact areas from Eureka to Crescent City, with lighter amounts across the coastal and valley areas. Snow levels will range from 2,000 to 3,000 feet across northwest California, with anywhere from 1 to 4 inches possible across some of the mountain passes. Be prepared for slick travel late tonight and Wednesday. High pressure will return on Thursday and Friday with more clear, dry and cold weather.
