Woman Stranded In Snow, Rescued After Being Reported Missing for Almost 24 hours

A Prospect woman reported missing for almost 24 hours was rescued by Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Tuesday, December 15th.  

The 46-year old woman had been missing for nearly 24 hours after being stranded in snow off a forest road before she was reported and Search and Rescue was initiated.  

Six teams of Search and Rescue volunteers and Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a hasty search of her last known area before a Search and Rescue search truck team found the woman three hours later off of Rancheria Road near Butte Falls.
