12,000 Marijuana Plants Seized and 1,000 Pounds of Processed Marijuana Destroyed in Bust

A search warrant was executed by multiple agencies including the Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team, the Oregon State Police Southwest Region Drug Enforcement Section Team, as well as Rogue Area Drug Enforcement, on Lakeshore Drive in Selma last Thursday, July 21st, regarding an illegal marijuana grow site.

Approximately 12,000 marijuana plants were seized and destroyed which were located inside multiple greenhouses on the property during the execution of the warrant. In addition to the growing marijuana plants, approximately 1,000 pounds of processed marijuana was located in an outbuilding.

Twelve individuals were detained for officer safety while others fled into the heavily wooded area nearby and were not located.

28 year old Jhonathan Gutierrez-Salazat was taken into custody and lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Unlawful Manufacturing of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

At the time of this press release, the investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released.
