Through the ongoing investigation by the Reedsport Police Department, probable cause was developed that the male owner/occupant was delivering a large amount of illegal narcotics to the Coos Bay area.

During the traffic stop, K9 Penny was deployed by the Reedsport Police Department to the exterior of the vehicle, and gave a positive alert to the odor of narcotics.

The subsequent search of the vehicle yielded over 12 pounds of methamphetamine, nearly 1000 counterfeit fentanyl laced oxycodone tablets and a loaded 9mm handgun, making it one of the largest drug bust in Coos County history.
