A 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck off northern California late Sunday morning.
The quake struck just just under 2 miles south of Fortuna and 15 miles south of Eureka at 11:16am, Sunday, October 23rd and was felt as far away as Fort Bragg.
Initially measuring 4.3 on the Richter Scale, the quake was 17 miles deep and no tsunami, or tsunami warnings were generated.
