5 Bruins Boys Receive All-League Honors

Winter high school sports programs have concluded, and 2022 All-League selections for the 3A-5 Far West League boys basketball have been released.

Senior Center, #55, Brad Russell – First Team All-League – 3A-5 Far West League

“Brad played the best basketball he has ever played this season, averaging 19pts and  14 rebounds for us. Brad was our leading scorer and lead the team in rebounds and was the most consistent player we had this season as well. he most certainly deserved 1st team All-League honors this year, and I could not be more proud of him.” coach Brandon Hodges said.

Freshman Guard, #4, Jaren Fronckowiak- Second Team All-League – 3A-5 Far West League  

“Jaren Fronckowiak was the 2nd leading scorer on our team as a freshman, led the team in steals, and became a respected leader amongst the veteran players on the team.” coach Hodges said. “Jaren also averaged 5 boards, and lead us in deflections every game. I am excited to continue to watch Jaren’s basketball IQ grow, and he has a bright future ahead of him. 

Senior Forward/Guard, #1, Jake Beaman- Second Team All-League – 3A-5 Far West League  

“Jake was our third leading scorer and the 2nd leading rebounder on the team, while routinely being asked to guard the opposing teams best player throughout the season.” coach Hodges said. “Jake did all the little things that don’t always show up on the stat sheet as well as all the things a coach needs done to control and win games.”

Sophomore Guard, #5 Wyatt Harms, – All Defensive Team – 3A-5 Far West League  

Wyatt was a big part of our defense all season,” coach Hodges said, “and we routinely relied on him through out the season to use his high energy to set the pace for our team defense and applying full court pressure to disrupt and slow the oppositions offensive game plan.”

Junior Guard/Forward, #34, Josh Serna – Honorable Mention – 3A-5 Far West League

“Josh Serna #34, lead the team in Freethrow %, Field goal %, 3 point Field Goal % and led the team in assists to turnover ratio as well as overall assists this season.
Josh helped others shine this season, was a great leader and really excelled at multiple positions for us this year.” coach Hodges said.
