BHHS Boys Varsity Soccer take 2 on the Road

This Brookings-Harbor Boys Varsity Soccer team spent the week on the road. Tuesday had the Bruins in North Bend and the Bulldogs proved to be the first team to pose a legitimate challenge to the varsity Bruins.

The Bruins walked onto the 2-0-2 overall Bulldogs home field Tuesday afternoon with a league-leading 6-0-1 overall record. The Bulldogs played the Bruins tough and the Bruins came away with a 2-0 victory.

After the win in North Bend, OSAA division 4A rankings would have the Bruin boys at the top of rankings in the state.

The #1 team in the state then traveled to South Umpqua/Riddle, who were yet to put a win on their record. A powerful and confident Bruin team controlled the South Umpqua /Riddle team throughout jumping out to a 7-0 lead at halftime. The game saw 7 different Bruins score, with both #13 Luke Beamon and #6 Austin Fronckowiak scoring two goals each in the 9-0 win.
