Head coach Jason Fulton and his Brookings-Harbor varsity track team qualified four members at OSAA 3A Track & Field State Championships on Thursday at Hayward Track & Field at the University of Oregon in Eugene Thursday, Friday.and Saturday.
Senior, Johanna Larson, competed in the 400m finishing 11th in 1:01.89
Seior, Parick Hatch, qualified to compete in both the Javelin as well as the Discus, finishing 7th in the Javeline with a throw of 149′-11″, before hurling the Discus 140′-5″ to place 5th in the state of Oregon.
Sophomore, Kaiya Evans, also competed in 2 events in Eugene, first working her way through the pre-lims for the 100m, setting a personal best time of 12.47 before finishing 5th overall in 12.73. Kaiya then set her sites on the 200m, again setting a personal best time of 25.53 before finishing in a final time of 26.08 take 4th in the state.
