Central Curry School District – One Week Delay

On Wednesday August 23rd, school officials announced that the Central Curry School District will delay the start of the school year by ONE WEEK.

Many school district employees, students and families have been adversely affected by the Chetco Bar Fire. Mandatory evacuations, firefighting operations and activities have disrupted progress and preparations regarding the first day of school.

As a result ALL major start dates have been moved back by one week.
This includes third through eighth grades at Riley Creek as well as all students at Gold Beach High School.

The first official day for classes at Gold Beach High School will now be Tuesday, September 5th, 2017.

Kindergarten classes official first day of class will be Monday September 11, 2017.
Official first day of school for Riley Creek Elementary will also be September 11, 2017.

Staff in-service will continue this week and staff will return on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 for the beginning of school.

Air quality will continue to be monitored regularly, and student athletes will be updated through their coaches and the Athletic Director.
