Chase Leads to Multiple Arrests

On Friday afternoon, December 27th, at 1537 hours, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to pull over an unlicensed silver Mercedes Benz sedan near Shady Cove, OR. The vehicle attempted to elude officers and drove onto a private driveway where it was stopped.

The driver and a passenger were both arrested. The Mercedes was seized and towed.

30 year old Michael Bradley Herlikofer

The driver, Michael Bradley Herlikofer, 30 years old, Shady Cove, Oregon was arrested on multiple charges including three warrants for Failure to Appear, Attempting to Elude a Police Officer-Vehicle, Giving False Information to a Police Officer, Distribution of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance.

The passenger, 27 year old Tiffany Anderson Burke, Eagle Point, Oregon, was lodged for a probation violation detainer initially. While being booked at County Jail additional charges for Possession of Controlled Substance Heroin and Meth were added when drugs were found on her during lodging.

As a result of evidence found during the search of the eluding Mercedes Benz vehicle, the investigation continued into this case. That lead to the service of a search warrant on Monday, December 30th, at 6:15am in White City, Oregon.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies with assistance from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team served a warrant specifically for firearms at 6:15am.

Several people were at the location at the time of the warrant being served. One resident did not submit to arrest initially and hid in an outbuilding, a detached garage and did not come out of hiding despite tear gas and Flash Bang devices being used to attempt to get him to come out.

28 year old Jaime Castro

Ultimately, deputies entered the building and took him into custody. A K9 was on scene but did not deploy on the suspect.

The suspect identified as 28 year old Jaime Castro of White City, Oregon was taken into custody and lodged on multiple charges including an Oregon State Parole Board Parole Violation, Failure to Appear on Dangerous Drugs charges from Josephine County, Resisting Arrest and Interfering With a Police Officer.

A second occupant of the house, 59 year old Robin Kutala, was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance-Meth, cited, and released.

32 year old Kevin Lee Hughes of Eagle Point, Oregon who was visiting the house was arrested on a warrant for his arrest for Contempt of Court.

The case remains under investigation.
