Late Sunday afternoon, Crescent City Police Officers were dispatched to a residence on H street in Crescent City, regarding a report of a subject sleeping on a porch.
When Officers contacted the suspect, identified as 35 year old Christoper Moore, struck an officer in the face and then continued fighting both officers until an officer was able to successfully deploy their TASER.
Moore was then taken by Officers to Sutter Coast Hospital and cleared medically before being booked into the Del Norte County Jail for 69 on charges of Felony Resisting/Obstructing an Officer.
The officer who was struck was evaluated for minor injuries at Sutter Coast Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
