Crews Continue Work at Last Chance Grade… Traffic Delays Continue

Work continues at Last Chance Grade, south of Crescent City in Del Norte County, and 2-hour delays remain in effect Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 11:00am, 12:00pm to 2:00pm, and 3:00pm to 5:00pm, on Fridays from 9:00am to 11:00am and 12:00pm to 2:00pm, and motorists should anticipate 30-minute delays outside of these hours.  

Crews continue to install ground anchors and a mesh drapery system at the top of the slope. Over the next two months, crews will continue their work excavating and stabilizing the slope by installing additional cable netting and rock anchors.
