On Friday December 11th, and Saturday December 12th, Curry County Public Health received notification of 20 new cases of COVID-19.
The Friday and Saturday notifications would be followed Sunday, December 13th, with four new cases.
Thirteen of these cases are from southern Curry County, and nine of these cases are from a senior assisted living center in the Brookings-Harbor area which includes staff and residents. Curry County Public Health reached out to senior assisted living center and all other individuals to make sure they are isolating and monitoring symptoms.
Two of the cases were from north Curry County and one other was located in central Curry County.
Curry County Public Health reached out to the individuals to be sure they are isolating and monitoring symptoms as well as currently investigating the cases through contact tracing to identify any possible contacts and exposures relevant to the cases and will reach out to anyone suspected of exposure to COVID-19.
