Curry Health Network Reaches Out with Christmas Spirit

In considering holiday celebrations this year, the employees of Curry Health Network decided that what is most important is giving. Three families were adopted by Curry Health Network and selected in collaboration with DHS one family each from Port Orford, Gold Beach, and Brookings. The staff really took to heart the opportunity to make the holidays of these families a little brighter and came together as a team to go above and beyond what was requested. What cheer and goodwill helping others brought our team!

Adopting families brought such a wonderful feeling to our staff, so much so that they decided to take giving a step further by including fellow staff-members who had been identified as persons who may need a financial boost during the holidays. Because while holidays can be wonderful opportunities for spending time with friends and families and sharing in the joy of the season, they can be hard. They can be very hard, with so many things to accomplish in so little time, and additional pressures including finances being stretched thin.

Curry Health Network employees banded together to donate more than $8,647 to 14 of their fellow employees and their families.

Those recipients were taken aback by the team’s compassion and generosity.

CHN also had a department holiday decorating contest, and the winner was the hospital 2nd floor. Beautiful!

Happy holidays from Curry Health Network, and best wishes for a healthy, joyous new year!
