Expired Registration Results in Discovery of 16 grams of Suspected Fentanyl and Arrest on Multiple Drug Charges

Just after 2:00pm Monday afternoon, January 16th, Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration while on patrol in the Garberville area.

Deputies contacted the driver of the vehicle, identified as 46 year old Carolyn Marie Brandy aka Baker, who was found to have an out of county warrant for her arrest.  

During a search of Brandy and the vehicle incident to arrest, deputies located over 16 grams of suspected fentanyl, over 2 grams of methamphetamine, over 1.5 pounds of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and items consistent with the sale of controlled substances.

Brandy was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of over 28.5 grams of cannabis, transportation/sale of a controlled substance and parole hold.
