Investigation of Central Point Bank Robbery Leads to String of Three, and Arrest

Just before 2:00pm, on Friday, January 11th, Central Point Police Officers were dispatched to People’s Bank regarding a reported robbery, which after investigation would prove to be the first in a string of three bank robberies within a ten day period including two in northern California.  

The second of the three incidents was reported by the Redding Police on Wednesday, January 19th, at Sierra Central Credit Union, followed the next day, January 20th, by a bank robbery in Yuba City, California.

Working in collaboration with these Departments, Detectives were able to identify the vehicle used in all three incidents and along with his vehicle information identify 52 year old Thomas James West as a suspect.

On Friday, January 28th, West was located with his vehicle in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he was arrested by Las Vegas Metro PD.
