Lady Bruins Overpower Gold Beach 14-2

Freshman Madison Taylor #22 drove in six on on a double in the first, a double in the third, and a double in the fourth, while surrendering one run on two hits over three innings, striking out four and walking one from the mound.

New Coach Tony Baron and his 2-2 Lady Bruin softball team took on the local rival Gold Beach Lady Panthers for the second time this preseason.

Lady Bruin freshman hurler Madison Taylor #22 made easy work of the Lady Panthers in the top of the first while the Lady Bruin offense opened up scoring in the first inning. An error scored two runs for the Lady Bruins.

Freshman Jordan Crosby #11 went two innings in relief

The Lady Bruin offense collected seven hits on the day. Taylor and Jordan Pryor all managed multiple hits for the Lady Bruins. Taylor went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead the Lady Bruins in hits. Gracie Harms had three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.

Behind an error free defense, Madison Taylor #22 surrendered one run on two hits over three innings, striking out four and walking one from the mound.

If that wasn’t enough, the Lady Bruin pitcher then showed off her offensive skills. Madison Taylor drove in six on three hits to lead the Lady Bruins past Gold Beach/Pacific 15-2 on Tuesday. Taylor drove in runs on a double in the first, a double in the third, and a double in the fourth.
