Man Arrested for Sending Threatening and Anti-Semitic Messages on Social Media

On Friday, January 8th, a call was received by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office from an individual reporting he and his son had received several threatening and Anti-Semitic messages on social media.

It was determined upon further investigation, that the messages were sent from 33 year old Daniel Epperson and an arrest warrant was issued for Epperson on March 5th.

Early Sunday afternoon, March 10th, Sheriff Deputies responded to the Arcata address and arrested Epperson on the warrant at about 3:00pm.

Epperson was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and booked for the following crimes including, Threaten crime with intent to terrorize, Violate civil rights by force or threat of force, Annoy or harass with repeated electronic communication and Violation of probation.

This case remains under investigation.
