Man Dies in Single Vehicle Crash

On Wednesday, March 28, at approximately 2:41 am, Oregon State Police Troopers responded to a single motor vehicle crash on northbound Highway 99W.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a brown 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup driven by a lone male occupant left the roadway to the west for an unknown reason crossing over the southbound lane and traveled approximately 386 feet in the southbound ditch before striking a large tree and coming to final rest. The Dodge caught fire after the crash.

The male driver was not believed to have been belted and was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Next of kin notification has been made.

The vehicle was recovered by T&M towing. Oregon State Police was assisted at the scene by Oregon Department of Transportation, Junction City Fire & Rescue, and the Junction City Police Department. The investigation is ongoing and no other information is available at this time.
