A Curry County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on U.S. Highway 101 north of Benham Lane in Harbor after failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and attempting to elude the Deputy just after 8:00pm Monday evening, August 8th.

Sutherland and his passenger, 40 year old Andre Gonzalez hit a curb on West Benham Lane near the 101 Bar and Grill and both ran from the vehicle.

Curry County Sheriff’s Deputies determined the vehicle Sutherland was driving was stolen out of Del Norte, and the license plates were off another vehicle and had been reported stolen as well.
