North Valley High School Placed in Lock Down After Threat

Just before 11:00am, Wednesday morning a a phone call was received by North Valley High School regarding  a threat to the school.

Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Oregon State Police Troopers responded to the scene immediately and due to the nature of the statements made in the phone call, North Valley High School was placed in lock down status, and the school was searched by deputies both internally and externally.

No weapons or items of concern were located and all Three Rivers School District schools were placed in a secure status; meaning all doors were locked and normal indoor activities were still occurring, however, all outdoor activities were cancelled.

Law Enforcement personnel were present at each of the Three Rivers School District schools for the remainder of the school day out of an abundance of caution.

This incident remains under investigation and no further threat to any Three Rivers School District school has been identified. No further information is being released.
