Rain Forecast after a Brief Break to End the Workweek, Continuing Through the Weekend

Unsettled weather is forecast to continue for the next few days as the strong low pressure slowly moving off the coast continues to circulate unstable air bring several rounds of precipitation through the region. On Friday, one of these weather systems is forecast to stall along the southern Oregon coast bringing the possibility of heavy rain in central and southern Curry County Friday afternoon into Saturday morning.

Inland, Thursday could start with short break with rain returning late Thursday or very early Friday, continuing through the weekend with a possible short break again returning Sunday. Temperatures are expected to rise as the weekend progresses as new warmer air moves in with lows in the upper 40’s and highs in the mid to upper 50’s.

A short break in the rain is forecast for very early Thursday as a new weather system moves into the region before another round of substantial precipitation impacts the southern Oregon and northern California coastlines through Sunday. Wind gusts up to 30 mph are expected with high temperatures reaching the upper 50’s to low 60’s.
