Ridge of High Pressure Forecast to Continue with Air Quality and Dense Fog Advisories Issued

The ridge of high pressure that has established itself off the coast of northern California and Oregon over the past two weeks, is forecast to continue supplying dry weather with warm daytime temperatures through out the weekend.

Dry conditions are expected to continue for the next week across the northwest California and southern Oregon regions. Air Quality Advisories have been issued by the National Weather Service for many inland areas thru Friday, October 14th. Afternoon high temperatures are expected to reach the low 90’s, cooling to the mid to upper 80’s by late Sunday.  

Coastal areas along the southern Oregon and northern California coast are under a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service thru Saturday, October 15th, with mostly afternoon skies going into the weekend. Localized fog is expected to continue throughout the weekend, with afternoon highs in the low 70’s possible, cooling as cloudy skies move into the area late in the weekend.
