The systems coming through this weekend will bring some gusty winds to southern Oregon and northern California. Although it won’t be gusty the entire weekend, wind gusts will increase both on Saturday and Sunday with the passages of each front. During the times of windy conditions, travel will become difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Additionally, any loose objects may be blown away. Tie them down or bring them inside.

Finally, any existing slides, like the one on Highway 101 near Brookings could be made worse. If you come across a flooded roadway, a debris flow, or a landslide, find an alternate route. Turn around, don’t drown.
