Just after 4:00pm Wednesday afternoon, a Three River School District bus carrying 13 students, caught fire on Redwood Hwy 199.
The fire caused a significant traffic issue southbound out of Grants Pass, as firefighters from Rural Metro Fire and Grants Pass Fire extinguished the burning engine compartment. As a result, a secondary crash occurred in the traffic line-up.
Thankfully the bus driver was able to get all kids off the bus without incident, and no injuries were reported in either incident.
