Sewer Main Collapse Partially Closes Oak St.

Traffic is currently being detoured and motorists are requested to use alternate routes after a sinkhole developed on Oak Street just east of Chetco Avenue Thursday, April 4th.

Brookings City Public Works crews and Tidewater Contractors have been exposing the area that has collapsed in efforts to repair the damaged sewer main.

Oak street is expected to be open by Monday afternoon according to an updated City of Brookings press release.
