Three Quakes Rattle the Pacific Northwest Sunday

Three earthquakes struck off the Oregon coast Sunday, two approximately 35 miles south of Eureka, California, and one approximately 180 miles off the coast of Coos Bay.

The first quake struck on the coast near Petrolia just after 8:40am Sunday morning registering 4.1 on the Richter scale. The next smaller quake struck in the same vicinity just after noon Sunday and registered 3.3.  

The third quake struck approximately 200 miles to the north, approximately 150 miles off the coast of Coos Bay just before 5:30pm Sunday evening, registering 4.7 on the Richter scale.  

Neither Tsunami, or Tsunami warnings were generated or issued regarding any of these earthquakes.
