Traffic Stop Yields Guns, Meth, Marijuana and Arrest of Convicted Felon

Early last week, a traffic stop was initiated as part of an ongoing investigation by detectives in Roseburg, and the subject, identified as 51 year old Joseph Barbero of Roseburg was detained pending application for a search warrant.

During the execution of the search warrant, detectives discovered approximately 363 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and two firearms, along with scales, drug packaging, and other paraphernalia.

A search warrant was then executed later that night at Joseph Barbero’s residence at an apartment complex in Roseburg. During the execution of that warrant, detectives found 27 additional firearms, 74 pounds of green bud marijuana, and a large amount of drug paraphernalia.  

Barbero, a convicted felon, was detained and jailed on multiple charges, including 29 counts of  Felon in Possession of Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
