U.S. Coast Guard Station Chetco River Rescues Disabled Vessel Up River

On Thursday, July 20th, U.S. Coast Guard Station Chetco River responded to a vessel that went up the Chetco River and struck a submerged object, disabling the vessel, rendering them dead in the water.

Due to the low tide at the time of the incident, the station monitored the situation until it was safe to take the small response boat upriver to assist them.

The crew maneuvered the small response boat through some shallow spots but ultimately rescued the vessel and brought them back to the dock.
