Warrant Results in Seizure of 1,700 Marijuana Plants 10 Firearms and Cash

A search warrant was executed Thursday, June 15th, regarding an illegal marijuana grow site on Laurel Avenue in Grants Pass.

During the execution of the warrant, the Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team, discovered more than 1,700 marijuana plants that were seized and destroyed. Additionally, 10 firearms and a large amount of cash were seized on scene.

With the assistance of Josephine County Public Health & Building Safety, the property also had multiple water and solid waste code violations that could result in the criminal forfeiture of the property.  

28 year old Dionicio Sanchez-Hernandez, 29 year old Pedro Sanchez-Hernandez, 36 year old Antonio Sanchez-Hernandez, 57 year old Nathan Contreras, and 57 year old Lorraine Leon were all arrested and transported to the Josephine County Jail for Unlawful Manufacturing of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.  

At the time of this press release the investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released.
