Weekend Temperatures are Forecast to be Well Below Normal with a Chance for Rain

The low pressure system that began moving ashore earlier in the work week bringing cooler temperatures, is forecast to continue bringing well below normal temperatures across the region, and possible chances for rainfall this weekend.

Southern Oregon and northern California could see measurable precipitation going into the weekend with chances of showers starting as soon as Saturday. There is also a chance for thunderstorms in the interior valleys as the system moves through over the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to be much cooler with some areas seeing high temperatures well below normal, with temperatures reaching only the mid 70’s Friday in the valley, and only reaching the mid to upper 60’s as the weekend progresses. Along the coast, areas of fog before 9:00am are expected to continue with highs in the low to mid 60’s. Clouds will are forecast to build Friday evening ushering in a 50-60% chance of precipitation into Sunday.
