When One Door Closes.., Another One Opens

Almost all Brookings-Harbor residents are familiar with the Sears Home Improvement store, formerly located in the South Coast shopping center for many years, and since it’s move from the shopping center to its new address at 642 Railroad St. late last year, new and loyal customers can now get ready for more exciting news from long-time owner, Marshal Fronckowiak.

With over two decades of sales and service in the area, Mike Fronckowiak took over the Brookings-Harbor Sears location in 2002, and has since passed the business on to his son, Marshal Fronckowiak.

General Manager, Nicole Cusak

From the Sears Home Improvement store, carrying most major home appliances, tools and outdoor yard equipment, the need for previously owned home appliances became an often requested need by customers, and in 2012, South Coast Appliance, also formerly located in the South Coast shopping center, was born.

Now, as 2023 begins under the direction of owner, Marshal Fronckowiak, that has all changed. No longer will the store be tethered to the Sears name, and no longer located in the South Coast shopping center, Marshal has listened to his customer base and will now operate as South Coast Appliance in their new 642 Railroad St. location, with a Grand Re-Opening celebration slated for March, 2023.

The separation from the Sears name allows Marshal and his team, including store General Manager, Nicole Cusak, to now have the opportunity to carry ALL major brands, including LG, Frigidaire, ElectroLux, Samsung, Midea, Bosch, Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, GE, Sub Zero and Wolf to meet any home appliance needs for area customers, and allows for the combination of previously owned stock at the same location.

As this transition takes place, major discounts and close-out pricing to clear old merchandise with savings of up 75% off on some items, is currently taking place.

Marshal has also made sure that all warranties and maintenance agreements on products purchased prior to this transition, will continue to be serviced locally, and in home service, and in shop repairs will also continue.

Other future improvements and changes planned for the new store include high-end custom kitchen planning and sales, contractor bulk orders, and convenient in home consulting to fit the needs of our burgeoning community.

Stop by and take advantage of closeout sales opportunities, save up to 75% while supplies last, and keep a look out for the huge Grand Re-Opening celebration with a Bar-B-Que, drinks, prizes, and even more savings, slated for March, 2023.
