Windy Wet Week to Start Monday

The work week is lining up to continue to be wet as the atmospheric river continues to take aim at Oregon and northern California this upcoming week.

Beginning late Monday afternoon and continuing into Tuesday with the heaviest amounts of precipitation expected to be from Del Norte County northward.

Some minor flooding in areas of poor drainage, such as low-lying fields, urban areas, and near small streams is possible. There could be a brief let up Tuesday afternoon/evening as the front stalls and another low pressure develops over the Pacific and continues to saturate Curry County.

This strong front will bring gusty winds beginning late Monday night through at least Tuesday night. The National Weather Service has put High Wind Watches in place for much of the Coast.
