On Thursday afternoon, April 23rd, the Curry County IT Director advised that all county systems such as internet and operating systems be shut down immediately, regarding a notice of a possible virus across the nation.
After the systems are shut down, testing will be run and when it is confirmed that the system has tested clear of the threat, the systems will be restarted.
All crime reporting and business lines will be off line at the during this time and in an emergency situation, individuals are instructed to call 911 until the Sheriff’s Office issues an update on the situation.
