High Pressure Off the Coast Forecast to Keep Skies Clear and Temperatures Warm

A strong ridge of high pressure has established off the northwest coast and will continue to keep skies mostly clear and temperatures warming as the workweek progresses for most of the region.

Inland areas can expect to see mostly clear skies, relatively mild temperatures and breezy afternoons with northwest wind gusting up to 24mph. The light northwest wind will start afternoon highs in the low to mid 70’s before rising to the mid 80’s by midweek, with lows forecast to be in the mid to upper 40’s.

Along coastal areas, clear skies and moderate temperatures dominate the forecast into midweek with a northwest wind gusting 25mph or more for areas to the south. Lows are expected to be in the low to mid 50’s, with highs expected to reach the mid to upper 70’s.
