Suspects Sought by Curry County Sheriff’s Dept. after Vehicle Broken Into

Late Monday evening, February 19th, Curry County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch received a 911 call from Port Orford resident Jessica Morones, reporting that her vehicle was broken into sometime after 12:55pm, early that Monday afternoon.

With no State Police troopers in the area available to respond, Curry County Sheriff’s Deputies continued to respond to the scene.

Upon arrival, the Curry County Sheriff’s Deputy spoke to Morones who provided a list of items stolen that valued at just under $2,000. Morones also advised the Deputy that she had received a text from her mother stating that her credit card was fraudulently used at several places in the Gold Beach area.

A call was placed to the Gold Beach Police Department who determined that in fact Morones credit card was used and a current active case was being investigated by the Gold Beach Police Department for fraudulent use of a credit card and that there was photo evidence of the suspects and vehicle available.

The Gold Beach Police Department attempted to locate the suspects but due to the time delay, they were unable to be located.

If anyone in the public can identify these suspects in the photos, you are encouraged to notify the Gold Beach Police Department or the Curry County Sheriff’s Department.
