Traffic Stop Leads to Meth and Marijuana and Arrest

A Del Norte Sheriff’s Deputy made a traffic stop early Saturday evening, after a subject attempted to evade the officer before the Deputy requested assistance from the Crescent City Police Department K-9 unit.  

Upon arrival, K-9 officer Lt. Kai alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle over an ounce of methamphetamine was located, along with almost $3000, and marijuana packaged for sales.  

The driver, identified as 42 year old Joshua Train, was arrested and booked into the Del Norte County Jail by the Deputy possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance,  possession of a controlled substance for sales, transportation of a controlled substance for sales, and transport marijuana for sale.
