U.S Coast Guard Medevacs Woman from Cruise Ship

Early last week a Coast Guard aircrew medically evacuated a woman reportedly suffering from kidney failure while aboard a cruise ship 50 miles southwest of Coos Bay.

Coast Guard Sector North Bend Command Center received a request for medical assistance from a crewmember aboard the cruise ship at 10:30am.

An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Sector North Bend medevac’d the woman from the ship named Grand Princess and safely transported her to the Bay Area Hospital at 12:50 p.m.

The woman’s condition is unknown at this time.
